Exciting times around these parts, folks!

First, we have the initial line-up of the next volume of Wakefield’s Journal stories (which you can find here, with a new story every month), and second, the first story from said list is now available to read FOR FREE: “The Wicked King.”

In this month’s adventure, written by Jeff Pfaller with art by Sean Hill, Wakefield and Hollander meet their match with the vengeful Admiral Wilkes. The full synopsis:

1875. While accompanying an Antarctic expedition lead by the acerbic Admiral Wilkes, a man lusting for revenge against a mythical creature called the ningen, Wakefield and Hollander find themselves stranded on the ice, nearly done in by his obsession.
