SAVANOVIC, MARKO ( b. ????; aristocrat, supposed heir to King Solomon’s fortune). A mysterious liaison who hires Wakefield and Hollander to retrieve the Seal of Solomon, Marko claims to be the last living descendant of King Solomon, the bastard son of a bastard son. He discovers the existence of the Seal of Solomon and wishes to have it in his possession, so that he may use it to climb the “social ladder,” bringing his family name back into the good graces of high society. He seems to have motives unknown to Wakefield and Hollander. |
