Fergus Duff DUFF, FERGUS
(b. 1817, Dundee, Scotland, UK; MacPhee clan affiliation; alchemist, occult hunter). Born into a family of alchemists and occult hunters going back for centuries, he and his brother Mungo were influential in many occult happenings within Scottish borders, experts in herbology and folklore. He was drafted by Queen Victoria (1845) to hunt down an assassin with ties to the occult in Edinburgh where he first met Francis Wakefield. He later called upon Wakefield (1864) to help rescue missing children taken by the cursed Langavat family who had been turned to werewolves, during which his left hand was bitten off.
